You can easily add a timeline inside Divi via a simple shortcode. Even though Divi doesn’t include a dedicated timeline widget by default, but Cool Timeline allows you to display timelines anywhere in your pages built with Divi by pasting a shortcode.
Follow these steps to add your timeline to a page built using Divi:
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Pages > Add New or open an existing page.
- You can use either the Classic Editor or the Gutenberg Block Editor to generate the customized timeline shortcode.
- Once your shortcode is ready, copy it.
- Next, open your page with Divi where you want to display your timeline.
- In Divi Page builder insert the column and search for Text module.
- Choose Text module.

- Paste the generated shortcode inside text module. Timeline will be added to your page.
- Lastly, save the changes and preview your page.
Timeline Module For Divi
With Cool Timeline, you can create stories separately in the WordPress dashboard and then insert them into Divi using a shortcode. While this method is reliable, but it involves switching between two editors: the WordPress editor (Classic or Gutenberg) for shortcode generation and the Divi for page design.
Timeline Module for Divi Pro provides a dedicated module designed specifically for Divi users who want to create, edit, and style timelines directly inside the Divi Builder, without using shortcodes. With this module, you can add your timeline stories, adjust layouts, change colors, icons, and backgrounds, and instantly see changes within the Divi page builder. Learn More.
