In February 2019, Facebook acquired GrokStyle, an AI shopping startup specializing in visual search technology. This acquisition aimed to enhance Facebook’s e-commerce capabilities by including GrokStyle’s advanced image recognition tools, improving product discovery and shopping experiences for users across its platforms.
